Zone Days Scheme

We are pleased to offer no visit charge for vaccinations and a reduced visit charge (£25) for other routine work when we are in your area if you have all day flexibility on the time of your visit.

Zone Days:

Zone days are:

• East Zone – Tuesdays
• North Zone – Wednesdays
• South Zone – Thursdays

Routine reduced visit @£25 for:

• Repeat medication injections (excluding joint injections)
• Placement of microchips
• Passport application form completion
• Stitch/staple removal from surgical wounds
• Prescription checks
• Veteran MOT health check

Services not included:

• All services not listed including all veterinary examinations/re-examinations, bandage changes, sedation for procedures (e.g. clipping, farriery), wolf tooth removal, pre-purchase examinations, diagnostic and therapeutic imaging (e.g. x-rays, ultrasound, shockwave therapy), acupuncture, euthanasia

How to book a free or reduced visit:

• Booking for the visit should be made before 11am the previous working day
• Clients will be allocated a time slot during the afternoon of the previous working day and then informed of their 1 hour time slot by telephone, text or email.

Other important terms and conditions:

• The scheme is run under the restriction of ‘Any Vet, Any time’, i.e. an owner is unable to request a specific vet or request a specific time for the visit. The client must be available between 8am to 5pm
• There are a limited number of visits available each day in the scheme. Places will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis
• To aid efficiency of the veterinary visits we request all horses are ready for veterinary attention during the allocated time slots and where appropriate stabled.
• Please note the allocated time slots can be subject to change in the event of an emergency
• Free visits are not available to clients whose accounts are in arrears outside of our terms of business

When 4 or more vaccinations are booked there is a reduced fee. The horses can be owned by one individual or several owners at the same yard.

Free Dental Visits

We are pleased to offer FREE VISITS if dental work is performed on allocated days. Dental corrective work on these days will cover our popular Dental Offer which includes a dental assessment and any corrective work performed, as well as all costs of sedation if required.

If vaccines are due at the same time as corrective dental worth then the vaccine can be administered at the same time and can also be part of the FREE VISIT.

Days visited to each zone:

• East 1 – 1st Tuesday of the month
• East 2 – 2nd Tuesday of the month
• South 1 – 2nd Wednesday of the month
• North – 3rd Tuesday of the month

• To aid efficiency of the veterinary visits we request all horses are ready for veterinary attention during the allocated time slots and where appropriate stabled.

Routine dental work including dental assessment and any corrective work performed. Also includes costs of sedation if required.

Please note, this offer does not include all other dental work including diastema (gap) flushing, wolf tooth removal and more advanced dental procedures.

For further savings, this offer can be performed on our Free Dental Visit zone days scheme (see below).

Veteran MOT package: £127.50

Includes a full clinical exam (heart, eyes, lungs etc), soundness exam inc. shoeing/hoof balance assessment, faecal egg count, blood test (blood count and major organ analysis) and a dental assessment.

Please note, this offer excludes:

• any additional procedures being carried out even if identified during the examination.
• any routine dental work being performed should it be found to be required.
• any additional blood analysis that is advised by the veterinary surgeon.

Performance health check programme for the competition rider: £127.50

For any equine or human athlete striving to achieve success it is far better to prevent injury than responding to it. For this reason we have introduced a ‘performance health check programme’ specifically targeted to assess and monitor abnormalities before they create a poor performance limiting issue.

The programme is suited to all performance horses involved in any equine athletic discipline including dressage, eventing, show jumping, and endurance riding.

The programme is designed to monitor all aspects of equine health which can be assedd either at a single examination or through a series of consultations. We recommend subsequent examinations every 3 months, though this can be organised in line with individual competition schedules. We believe that by maintaining a regular series of thorough horse consultations and rider discussions we can optimise horse health to the benefit of all involved.

What’s involved at the performance health check?

• On yard or at the clinic assessment (NB: additional visit charges apply)
• Discussion on the rider’s goals, rider concerns, perceived horse related weaknesses
• Clinical examination including assessment of the eyes, heart, lungs, teeth, back and limbs
• Soundness/lameness examination: in hand walk and trot followed by ridden assessment (if required)
• Inflammatory blood profile to assess perfomance limiting parameter (haematology and SAA)
• 20% off any diagnostic investigations on sites of concern including x-rays and ultrasound
• Formulation of health plan for achieving targets

Microchipping offer: £46.70 when booked with other work

Our usual charge for microchipping is £59.94. This is reduced to £46.70 when booked with other work. This offer includes the placement and registration of microchips with the issuing authority.

Please note, this does not include passport documentation completion or registration with a passport issuing authority.

Castration: £315.00 / £400.00

£315.00 for colts up to 2 years old.

£400.00 for colts over 2 years old

The prices include cost of the surgical procedure, sedation, local anaesthetic used and a single antibiotic injection.

Please note, the prices do not include costs of tetanus protection (vaccinations or tetanus antitoxin) and continued oral antibiotics, or the costs of re-visits, examinations and drugs should post-surgical complications occur.
